Canadian Food Waste
As Canadians, we are proud of our wheat and dairy production. Yet 40% of the food harvested in Canada isn’t even consumed! I decided to take action and made an infographic-based pamphlet as a guide for Canadians on how to reduce their household food waste. There is also a one month challenge for families to track their efforts on creative ways to reuse leftovers and giving back to the community. Finally, the process can be shared and compared with friends on social media. #FOODMANNERSMATTER

How many fishing spots are in your local neighbourhood? Although I do not fish, I am fascinated by the close proximity of nature in the city — I did not know that we can catch salmon right in downtown Toronto! In my research, I discovered a large number of unique species and their details in shape, habitat and popularity. I think this is the beauty of sharing findings in an infographic — the message is more engaging, direct, and easier to digest than if conveyed in writing.
